IGCAT is an international organisation with associated experts spread across the globe:

Its secretariat offices are hosted by the Ajuntament de Sant Pol de Mar in the Province of Barcelona.

IGCAT is proud to be located in the beautiful coastal town of Sant Pol de Mar, 50 kilometres away from Barcelona. The Institute’s position outside the city reflects its emphasis on regional development, not just in Catalonia but throughout the world. IGCAT’s focus on gastronomy is also illustrated in Sant Pol de Mar’s lively culinary culture, with the three-Michelin starred restaurant Sant Pau. Catalonia is famous throughout the world for its gastronomy and the region is also one of the founding members and candidate for the European Region of Gastronomy award, which IGCAT coordinates. IGCAT’s interest in tourism is also symbolised in Sant Pol de Mar’s University School of Hospitality Management, with whom the Institute collaborates.
