Winner of the European Young Chef Award 2018 and IGCAT Regional Chef Ambassador, Andreas Bjerring will be a jury member for the European Young Chef Award 2019, to be held in Rhodes (South Aegean, European Region of Gastronomy awarded 2019) on 22-24 October.
23 years old, Andreas works at Molskroen restaurant in Central Denmark Region, where he operates with French cuisine, focusing on local produce coming especially from the beach and the local farmers.
Always eager to learn new techniques, Andreas loves to innovate on traditional recipes using local products. Attention to detail, knowledge about local ingredients and connecting his dishes to the stories of his region are essential features in his work and what earned him the European Young Chef Award 2018 title with the dish Memory of my Childhood.
And now he is ready to share his knowledge and experience with the 2019 edition’s finalists!
About the European Young Chef Award
The European Young Chef Award 2019 is a competition organised and promoted by the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism (IGCAT) in collaboration with South Aegean, European Region of Gastronomy awarded 2019.
The European Young Chef Award gathers finalists of regional contests from around Europe to present and exchange knowledge about traditional dishes and local food products from their regions and then compete proposing their innovative reinterpretation of traditional recipes, judged by star chefs and international experts.
